Summer Arts Academy: 
A Day at Disneyland

July 10-July 21, 2023 (Monday-Friday) from 7:30am-4:00pm at Edgewater Elementary School

Our classic performing arts day camp returns! Join us this summer for a dynamic performing arts day-camp that combines all of your favorite camp activities (making s’mores, team-building games, crafts, and more) with enriching classes in the theatre, dance, and vocal music! Open to students ages 8-13,  the camp operates from 8:00am-3:30pm (just like a regular school day!), with a grace period for drop off (7:30am-8:00am) and a grace period for pick up (3:30-4:00pm). While this is a change from previous years, we think the earlier release time will allow our kiddos to have time to do fun activities after camp hours (like practicing for their performance). But don't worry: we've still found a way to squeeze in all of the same dynamic programming!

Students learn how to act, sing, and dance along to contemporary songs and material that they know and love, mixed with some new material that they'll discover together! Our theme this year is a real fun one. Are you ready? Drumroll..... it's "A Day at Disneyland!" Students will learn songs, dances, and scenes revolving around the theme, and the final performance will be a Disneyland experience for our audience! We are SO excited, and we hope you are too!

Our teachers are professionals who are passionate about performing arts education, and love to see students reach their potential onstage. Whether your child is already a star, or just wants to get out of their shell, our camp is perfect environment for all ages and experience levels! Our teachers cater classes to the needs and levels of the students they have, and everyone truly has a chance to shine on our stage!

On top of classes, students participate in fun camp games and activities while at camp. This allows them the opportunity to take mental breaks from classes and engage with their peers! Each camp day has time devoted to a Camp Enrichment Activity, which typically is not related to the performing arts. This can range from decorating camp postcards to making s'mores!

Our camp is offered to Yuba-Sutter families at the low cost of $300 ($200 per additional sibling) for 2 weeks of jam-packed fun! Thanks to generous community sponsors, we are offering scholarships to families who qualify! It's so easy to apply, simply fill out the form by June 21st, and you'll hear back from us the next week. This will give you enough time to register for the camp, if you did not receive the scholarship. We are passionate about making our programs accessible to ALL families.
