She has previously been involved in the technical aspects of theatre, such as lighting design and backstage work, and has taught music at the Paragon Collegiate Academy After School Program. In the future, Sarah plans to use her musical talents to inspire the next generation of artists as a music teacher. Josie Aspinwall recently attended Southern Oregon University where she majored in Communications with a minor in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies (GSWS). She took drama and dance classes throughout high school at Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts, which helped her grow from being shy and introverted to having one of the loudest and proudest voices onstage. Her favorite theater memories include writing and directing her own one-act play, playing the role of Olivia in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, and performing skits with her friends in the school's showcase. She has been working with Rise Up in various capacities for a year, and is excited for her new role as Secretary!
